Hi everyone. I'm encoding a Xvid video for palm and trying to find best settings.
The specs supported by palm are:
Resolution: 320x??? (usually 320x176)
frame rate (11-12 - half of initial frame rate
audio: ( mp3 48kbps 44khz mono or 24kbps 22khz mono)
bitrate: 100-220kbits/sec ( full 1.2-2 hour movie is stored in 128mb SD card)
Is there is any difference between these two methods, and if yes, which is preferred:
1) From the beginning process only half of frames (in VD set "process every other frame) and than make 2 passes with XviD.
2) Make 2 passes with full frame rate (say, 25fps) and aim size for double (256mb). Than after encoding finished, load result file back in VD, than set "process every other frame" and than save with "direct stream copy"
.
.
Also, what Xvid settings would you recommend for such low bitrate?
TIA.
