View Full Version : Reauthorist creates Reauthorist_DoCCE.txt and Reauthorist_NewDoCCE.txt. Which one?

Reauthorist creates Reauthorist_DoCCE.txt and Reauthorist_NewDoCCE.txt when creating the file for DoCCE4U. DoCCE4U appears to be version 1.0.1.5 Beta (the one I downloaded from the links in the Big 3 Backup guide) Which file should I be using? For some reason DoCCE4U doesn't automatically load up any file correctly. It seems it tries to load up the Reauthorist_DoCCE.txt, but nothing ever shows up in the jobs list. I just have been manually loading up the Reauthorist_NewDoCCE.txt since it has a comment in it that says ';Version 1.0.1.5'. Is this the right txt file to use for DoCCE4U? Which one should I be using? Why doesn't it load in DoCCE4U automatically? Thanks!
DoItFast4U 1.4.0.0

Hi
use Reauthorist_NewDoCCE.txt
but you should try
ScenAid (http://www.sceneaid.com/) instead of ReAuthorist and
BatchCCE (http://www.woofsoft.com/Downloads/default.aspx) instead of DoCCE4U

Thanks. Can you send me the latest DoItFast4U? I have version 1.4.0.0. I can't get the latest version because the DoItFast4u website has been down for a long time now. I don't think my version of DoItFast4U supports BatchCCE. Thanks.

The only way you can get the latest DIF4U is by donating $15 (I think). I'm not sure how this can be done though since the website is down.

So......BatchCCE and Scene aid work better than Re-Authorist? I am attempting to use Re-Authorist because it seems with that you can omit extras without destroying the integrity of the DVD. BUT...with Re-Authorist, I have been running into the problem of the DVD being too large after the long process of encoding by 24+ megs. This is of course after messing with the Bitrate settings in Re-Authorist. I have now tried this several times and this is all getting pretty frustrating, since the trial and error takes soooo long.
Do most of you just leave in all the extras and maybe just remove a few commentaries, etc, and just leave the bitrate low on the extras?
When using BatchCCE, is it getting the encoding info from DoItFast4U which allows it to fit on one DVDR?
When using Re-Authorist is it using the info from DoItFast4U, and then allowing you to modify that info thus producing the Reauthorist_NewDoCCE.txt file which feeds into DoCCE4U?
When using DoItFast4U, BatchCCE, and Sceneaid together, how do you omit extras like in Re-Authorist?
Thanks for any help you can give...

Surely somebody knows the answers to my questions above......
I'm just trying to figure this all out.....
Thanks.

BatchCCE is the successor of docce4u, so use it, docce is no more supported now.
Extra bitrates are choosen in doitfast4u, and reauthorist use them. In Reauthorist you can change these bitrates, it's the only pros for using it (in some case I use reauthorist (extra in the same VTS that main film)).
Scenaid is more powerful than reauthorist, so use it, and if Scenaid fails, you can use reauthorist instead ;)

Ok, but how do you use dummy files on your extras that you want to blank out in SceneAid? This is to of course have a higher bitrate on the main movie.....Is this possible in SceneAid?

If you deselect a PGC in doitfast4u appz will make it dummy. If you deselect a VTS, no dummy files :/, you have to use vobblanker or Reauthorist in this case. But it happens in quite few DVD.

Ok. But then wouldn't we want to recalculate everything using a higher bitrate on the movie? Wouldn't doitfast4u think we were just going to add that unselected VTS back in the project(it wouldn't know we intended on blanking it) and thus a lower bitrate for everything else? How would you calculate everything up (easiest way)?
Is it easier to just select everything to demux by doitfast4u, then use reauthorist to select what I want to keep and what I don't?
Can you use reauthorist and scenaid together, i.e., use reauthorist to create all the dummy files needed, then have sceneaid create the scenarist script?

Let Doitfats4u calculate the bitrate ;)

You can do this way if you want, but I often have better result with sceneaid with difficult dvd (demux by vobid and so on)

Good question, i never try this, but I think it's not possible.
BIG 3 Method is for backup, not butchering ;) So it's difficult sometimes for removing some extras ;)

Hi,
sry that I didn't write earlyer.
But looks like some nice people have already helped you :)
You can overwork the dvd before you use big3 etc.
with tools like vobblanker/vtsblanker, dvdremake, ifoedit, numenu4u.

So what would you use? VobBlanker if it has its own VTS? Then when you de-select the PGCs within a Vob, doesn't Doitfast4u blank those anyhow?

I don't know exactly because I don't like the normal extras etc and so I delete them and change the menu commands with ifoedit.
try it with doitfast4u and if it don't work, only then I would use the other tools in your case.

"...with Re-Authorist, I have been running into the problem of the DVD being too large after the long process of encoding by 24+ megs."
For Re-Authorist what I do is set bitrate for all the extras than increase the bitrate for the movie untill the bar turns red. Than I back up using the left arrow on my keyboard 5 times to lower the bitrate. This works for me just about every time. Another thing you can do is use MuMenu4U or DVD Shrink after DOCCE or BATCHCCE to recode only the menus.
For Scenaid, I use IFOedit to pre-process the files. You can remove a logo in a VOB by replacing it with a blank VOB created using a bitmap file, than using IFOEdit strip streams to fix the IFO file for that VOB. Does not matter that you have no streams to strip on the blanked VOB. IFOEdit will still process anyway and give you corrected IFO. After all pre-process work is complete I create an image file with ImgTool set to "Ignore Source Size". I test it to make sure everything works. Now the image file is ready for Scenaid-DoItFast-BatchCCE-BatchUpdateIFO.

There is a donation link on the front of the app, as well as a donation button at http://www.sceneaid.com/downloads.php, thanks to Dest who has been so kind as to host my final version and put up my paypal link.
Dest supports donations for ScenAid too, don't forget! ;)
