I can't think of anything I did to make it stop working, but I tried uninstalling shockwave and clearing out the registry settings for both shockwave and MPC. I am using version 6.4.8.2 of Media Player Classic, and when I try to open a shockwave file, I receive "Can't create shockwave control" in the status bar. I can view websites with shockwave content, and I can drag and drop shockwave files into Firefox, and they play fine.

No one has a suggestion?

You need the Shockwave plugin for IE, not the one for Mozilla. MPC uses the Shockwave ActiveX control for playing SWF files...

np: Radiohead - Idioteque (Kid A)

That worked. Thanks a lot. I guess after upgrading to WinXP SP2 the ActiveX controls for both flash and shockwave broke, and I never noticed since they still worked in Firefox.

Thanks again.
