View Full Version : Title / Root menu editing

I have a DVD that I'm trying to backup, but the problem is when you start the DVD it plays 25 min of trailers (root memu...)then finally it jumps to the title menu. I've stripped out those trailers and have inserted a jump to the actual movie, but instead I would like to get the title / root menu to work correctly. Is there a way to edit the .IFO file to point to a new title/root menu?
Looking at video_ts.ifo it shows 15 title's, only 1 of them actually has the movie, the rest are the pre-views. Even after deleting the other files and doing a 'get vts sectors' it still leaves those bogus title's in there.
Anyway, any help would be great. Thanks!

I've stripped out those trailers...Did you really stripped them, e.g. IfoEdit's VOB Extras, or did you blanked them out?
Is your trailers in separate VTSs? If so, try doing this.

Let's start with this first before putting in a jump to your root menu from First Play PGC.

the only option I have is to blank out all menu PGCs. Is this correct?
[edit] nevermind, found it! :) you're amazing btw... it worked like a charm. Thanks for the help!! :-)

thanks 2COOL (and his magnific solutions) :) Thanks for the compliments but the spotlight here should really go to rolZ, the author of PgcEdit. It just keeps getting better and better when you learn and understand how to use it. ;)

@ 2COOL :
oh yes but i don't knew that "feature" like you posted and last month i ask to r0lZ about a "guide for simple mortals" like posted here: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=79853
see his answer: "Actually, there are two PDF translations of the interface in german on my site, and a guide in japanese. Maybe some people speaking good english could write a guide or two..."
i'm still waiting(need) an english guide to understand and use PgcEdit.
