using dvd rebuilder in conjunction with cce 2.69 and get a dodgy encoding problem in the main movie, the menus and fbi warnings are fine but take a look

That's quite bad, only thing that comes to mind is corruption while encoding, mainly in RAM or chipset I/O. I saw something similar back in the divx days when a guy had bad RAM.

That could also mean that the .VOB you decrypted has those errors that are copied over to the output.

Also the purple is just the color that the video adapter draws its overlay upon.. the "background" of the video. I believe the MPEG2 background should be green.

Had the same problem. For me the problem was cause by CCE trial edition. When I switched to retail problem went away.

I had the same thing happen with CCE Basic, went back to SP and problems went away.
