first pass or second ?

Hello, since this is a newbie section I can be brave anough to ask a very stupid question.
After encoding, which AVI file should I keep, the first pass or the one with (_movie) extention.

what program are you using?

anyway, you definitely have to use the second pass avi - usually there doesn't even exist a first pass avi - it's only a dummy file that is discarded by the codec immediately!

the _movie file (when created by gknot or autogk) usually is the file that only contains the video, but no audio!

usually the fully finished file is the file with the exact name you specified!
