Is there a program for scanning files from HDD and build catalog of movies with listing of its parameters (resolution, audio/video codecs, audio/video bitrates)? Also it would be great to export this listing to .TXT or .XLS.

Windows:The Ant Movie Catalog (http://www.antp.be/software/moviecatalog/)
Linux: xamc
Both free and excellent (they can download infos from the web too (cover, summary, actors & Co)
You have also eXtreme Movie Manager (http://www.binaryworks.it/extrememoviemanager/index.php) which has equivalent features but is not free. Btw I prefer AMC.

xamc:
Primary features are:
- Movies catalogs are based on XML
- XSL Stylesheets will be provided in order to generate enhanced reports from catalogs

Thanks. I've tried Ant Movie Catalog. Can't say that it's exactly what I want, but I think, I can use it for all I want to.
It appears I'll like this program.
