komanch,
the bitrate adjusted to 0(zero)can work in some players but don't in others. i have 3 players and all works with max=8000 and min=0 but i use min=300 cos change it just a little from 0(zero)...only just a few scenes use(get) min=zero.
encode a sample with round 30 minutes to test your player! better is do that long test than loose the job and/or quality!

Thanks, but this is not what i ment-my mistake.
What i want to find out is how to change the max bitrate to 8000 or higher, because it stops at 7500 and doesn't want to go above that.

If you catch it while CCE is doing the first pass (m2v or vaf creation I'm not sure any more?) you can edit the ecl file in notepad and change the max bitrate. You can't set it any higher in DVD2DVD-R due to the author setting a hard limit (afaik).

Why not use DVD Rebuilder? I switched from DVD2DVD-R some time ago, it's great!
