VobEdit and Vob-ID change, still no solution

The classic problem when demuxing subtitles with VobEdit and remuxing either with IfoEdit or ReJig. When the original title has a Vob-ID change at layer break, subtitles stop showing in the remuxed title. I have read threads from 2002, and the only help I can find is "wait for IfoEdit update" ;)

Is there still no other way but the hard way SubRip->Srt2Sup->Remux?

Did you try the vobsub->sub2sup route? I haven't encountered "your" problem myself & am no expert whatsoever, though.

Couldn't be more clearly said in the readme of SubToSup:

I had trouble when i use VobEdit to extract the subtitles.
Because VobEdit resets the subtitle times to 0 if a new Vob-ID was found
in the movie stream.

IfoEdit produces a buffer underrun message if you try to use
this generated .sup files as subtitle files.

So VSRip->SubToSup works just fine. Thx Gabest and Huisendobler, thy work is really appreciated. (even after two years ;) )
