I checked yesterday and there is only English, German and Korean.

[edit]

It's out now. I'm gonna test it soon. From what I read, the most big problem with SP2 is the built-in firewall which is activated by default. People are so noob :(

In my opinion M$ should have done this when they launched XP... it would have saved them and their customers a lot of hassle 'virus-wise'!

"normal people" don't know how to set a firewall, so they will complain if it's enabled.

you are complaining becoz you haven't used SP2 firewall yet.....

It does not need any settings.. as some firewall, all you have to do is enable or disable........

Things only get more complicated for people like us (who like to fiddle about with our PC's), business users and for people with small home networks...

For everything that use TCP, like FTP client in PORT mode, it can cause problems that the average user can't fix.

I run my web site from my home PC using Apache... all you've got to do is visit the Network Connections 'Advanced Settings' and put a tick in the required check box... easy ;)

The people that need to know will soon find out how to do it. Better to be safe than sorry :(

Wow, that's quite a list...

How the hell did some of these not get picked up on during SP2 beta testing?

I find it absolutely amazing that so many of Microsoft's own product are affected... Which is not very re-assuring is it?

Those programs don't work because Microsoft reworked some of Windows' internals due to security reasons. This is the first time when Microsoft gave security more weight than it gave to compatibility which is actually a good thing.

I've not installed it yet on this boot of my PC.... That said, can you remind me what you use to view your RealMedia streams?

This reminds me. I don't think MPC works properly with SP2. As I could not get any of my .AAC streams to work.

THey not say "not working", just "may act strange". I think it's related to the firewall...

they say the same thing with Ms Office bugs...

krosoft is like all the big software company : they don't say "bugs" but "may act strange" => bugs mean that they don't test seriuosly there soft...
