Gabests mpeg decoder in MediaPlayerClassic already has deinterlacing in its settings.

I have it in options, and it'S set at auto. I still see ugly interlacement. My source is NTSC.

ahh now the pics up. :)

hmm have you tried forcing each and seeing if they made any difference ?

also make sure you have the internal decoders selected/ticked in the filters panel.

if none of that works then you would have to look at the file and see if its maybe marked as progressive etc.

Blend produce the less artefacts. Having the DVD IVTC would be the best thought

Having the DVD IVTC would be the best though
yes but i was just trying to help with what it can currently do.

the only other option would be to install an mpeg2 codec(such as with windvd or powerdvd) and use that. as i noted in the QuEnc 0.53 post though windvd used through MPC didnt recognise the AR ,produced by QuEnc at least.

I think I'll survive with blend :)

Dunno how easy it would be to add IVTC to the filter. It already outputs pure progressive on the parts that are actually film and this accounts for a lot of telecined video on DVD. However for things like DVB it would be nice.

It would indeed :D
