i was using dvdrb with cce sp 2.67.00.27 and as it is not the trial i just pointed it to the cce executable when itlaunches cce to encode a window comes up for me to input the settings manually for each m2v file. i tried to use it with eclcce and it works but no matter how many passes i tell it to do it only does one. has this happened to anyone?

You have to use EclCCE with all trial versions.

I don't know why it would only do one pass, unless you have One Pass VBR activated on the Options->CCE menu in DVD-RB.

but its not trial

Sorry, I misread your post. I don't know why it wouldn't work with the full version without EclCCE. Still, using EclCCE with the full version shouldn't cause any problems and adds some functionality.

Could you post a job from the REBUILDER.ECL file here (you can open it in notepad)? You don't have to post the whole thing.

i made a mistake it actually does work without eclcce but it only does one pass and doesnt do a .vaf file either

video_type=4 means multipass, and create_new_vaf=1 means it should create a new .vaf.

I loaded the .ecl in SP 2.66 (I don't have 2.67) and it loaded correctly and was set to multipass. So I don't know why it isn't working for you. If it's doing one pass .mpv creation it must be set to CBR or One Pass VBR for some reason.

yea you are right it is set to one pass cbr. in 2.66 it works correctly for me too

If you create an ECL that calls for multiple passes with the new version and save it, what value does it use for the "video_type=" parameter?

kalashnikov

video_type=16

Yep, changed it again. Does anyone know what version is the first to do this? 2.67?

kalashnikov

2.67 is the first one to do this for me as 2.66 works fine

I'll put a version checking routine into the next version of RB so I can see which CCE is being used... I guess I'm going to have to change my code with every version of CCE that is released. These guys change the meaning of their parameters as often as I change my socks.
