I have just bought a Twinhan VisionDTV. I have much macroblock loss (or audio cutting and skipping, video have all sorts of MPEG erros).

I have rather 68% signal level and 74% signal quality.

The CPU utilisation lies around 40%.

I have been up with the dish for a whole hour tweaking to get the best possible signal level I can.

Encrypted programs seem more sensitive than FTA. I have tried both a Conax CAM with a card and a SoftCI/SoftCAM. It's the same.

Any tips?

What Signal Levels, Signal Quality do you have?

It seems I have spotted the problem. I tried MyTheatre instead of ProgDVB and it just worked. So it would seem that the version of ProgDVB I used had trouble with my Twinhan card.

Keep in mind that discussion of Piracy on the forums is not good manners. There are NO legal softcams no matter what country you live in. We want doom9.com forums to be around for a long time, not shutdown due to discussion of piracy.

I know that SoftCAMs (software that emulates conditional access modules) are not legal. I simply stated that I've tried both emulated CAMs and official ones to rule out any CAM issues.

By simply stating that I've used illegal software isn't going to shut down the board. I didn't state which software I used or where one can get it. Between the lines one can gather that many of us here on the board are using software that is not legal or legally aquired. Or borderlining the illegal.

Nevertheless... I get your point and will have it in mind when posting.
