Is a comp test value accurate on small samples of video (00:01:30 or so)?

The reason I ask is because every time I use GDIndex and source range a small D2V project and run a comptest on it, the values are screwed and the size prediction in GK is bloated.

A comp test, by default, uses 5% of the frames of your content. It does this by adding the filter:SelectRangeEvery(280,14)This uses 14 frames out of every 280, all the way through the content.

If your content is 90 seconds long, in PAL this is 2250 frames, NTSC Film, ~2158, and NTSC ~2697. 5% of these frame counts is ~113, ~108, and ~135.

Such a compression test, IMHO, is a waste of your time. You are better off using your entire content, and then reducing the compression percentage appropriately.
