Done a few films with dvdrb and they are all just shy of maxium dvd5 size. Its out put is... 4.32 GB (4,646,813,696 bytes)

Any suggestions on getting it a bit closer?

Edit:
# Quality_prec
Also known as Image quality Priority in CCE 2.5 and Quantizer characteristics in CCE 2.66 +. This setting ranges from 0-64, but is scaled for CCE 2.5 which uses a 0-100 scale.
This setting controls whether CCE gives priority to the fine details of the image, or evenly colored flat areas. A low setting will give priority to details, but could result in blockiness or color banding. A high setting will favor flat areas, but could result in edge artifacts.

I have set passes to 5, does this mean its really been doing only 4?

4.32GB sounds like the default DVD-RB output size, you can adjust it using by manually editing the rebuilder.ini file. See the readme or the Settings sticky thread's Hidden Settings post for more information.

It depends what 'really' means. You are doing 5 total passes if you count the .vaf creation pass. CCE doesn't do that in it's settings. So setting DVD-RB to 5 passes is the equivalent to setting CCE to 4 passes directly.

Quick question, do more passes make for a more accurate file size?

The undersizing is purposeful. On discs that have a lot of VTSs and variability you'll find that the 4.32 becomes more typically 4.34 -- which means they would could very easily go over if you increase the target value by very much.

I understand where your comming from, but I'm ready to commit to some post processing (ie shrink the menus)in the case of an oversize.

:D any to improve quality, but the default must absolutely work 100% so RB is a true one click app.
