I've just installed SimpleDivX and encoded a moovie but after 3 min. audio stopped working. Only video is ok. I tried then AutoGK and I got the same result. I use mp3 codec (lame) and I tried both DivX 5.2 and XviD 1.0.1. No difference. No audio after some minutes. Any idea? I don't have any trouble at all with the rest of my system. Just installed Windows xp pro and the codecs I need. My PC is very clean and I regularly defragment and scan it with JV16 PowerTools. It is therefore in order and fast.
This is my configuration:
AMD AQXFA 0342 2500+@3200+ cooled by Thermalright SLK 947U on Abit NF7-S 2.0 with Bios 22|Mushkin PC3500 Level II - BH-5(2x256)11-2-2-2|LiteOn LTR-40125s@48125w|Logitech {mødified}Nera Y-ST39 with BTC mechanic.

:logfile: for AutoGK...
First of all, are you 100% sure the source audio track works properly? And what format is the source audio? AutoGK uses besweet for AC3 -> MP3 transcoding, so make sure the check the logfile about that.

Since your problem occurs with two different encoders, I'm betting that piscator is correct -- there is a problem with your source. Did you use DVD Decrypter?
Was it used in IFO mode?

Yes, the audio track works well. The movie is Matrix. I have the original DVD and I was checking if SimpleDivX 1.36, the new version, supports the 2nd pass with the DivX pro 5.2 codec (it does not, anyway...). If I keep the ac3 file as an audio track, at the end get a correct result. But I need a 700MB movie and a I can't afford to have a 359MB out of 700 only for the audio track. I tried ogg but I got the same "error" 3/4 minutes of sounds only. I keep the ac3 and it is ok for all the lenght of the movie but the video quality is quite worse of course... :( :( :(
As long as you know which is the best version of the DivX codec? And why?

1. Yes, I did.
2. Yes, it was.
Does that mean anything?
Thanks, bye.

Yes, it does. When using IFO mode to decrypt, the VOB set placed on the Hard Disk will be a single angle of a single PGC.
This gives me another opportunity to repeat Piscator's recommendation:
:logfile: And post the BeSweet log as well. AGK uses BeSweet for audio transcodes.
