DivX 5.2

Hi,

maybe this is an odd and unwarranted post but - Are there any considerations for GK with the new DivX 5.2 codec? I have used GK with earlier codecs and am quite happy (I use simple Home Theater settings for my RJ-1500) but Dr. DivX with 5.2 seems to produce excellent results at relatively low bitrates. Of course no subtitles and not as many switches (credits in particular) but it has the ability for example to retain AC3.

Should I continue to use GK (is it accurate for 5.2)?

well, 5.2 is just out, and len0x is on holiday.

so has GK :confused:
I can only see one way to decide for quality, is to encode the same movie with both apps.
Personally I test-encoded 2 vobs with GK (not auto GK) and the results were perfectly accurate.
But if you're happy with DrDivX, by all means, use it ;)
