I do all my DVD backup swith GKnot. Never have any problems. This time I was a dumb ass however and I had the file size set too large so the AVI is too big for my DVD+R by just a little bit...however it's enough that simply chopping of the credits didn't work.
It is a documentary however, and I've currently got the AC3 audio in there. Being a documentary I don't really care about the Dolby surround in this AVI...so I've been trying to compress the audio to MP3 and that will solve my problem. I'm having issues with this however.
If I open the AVI directly in VDubMod or Nandub and go through audio compression and select Lame it doesn't give me any options to the right to select at all. I've demuxed the AC3 from the AVI and then I tried to use MediaTwins AC3 Decoder to encode to MP3 which worked fine...however it chops off about 7 seconds of the audio somewhere and then it doesn't synch when I use AVI_Mux to put the MP3 audio back into the AVI.
How can I make this work? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
