Hi,

I was just wondering if there were any future plans for anamorphic encoding in GKnot? I'm quite new on this way of encoding and since I'm always using Gknot for calculations before encoding I'm wondering if Gknot could have a part that's dedicated to anamorphic encoding.

Thanks in advance,
Splashdriver

Hi-

I'm not sure I'm understanding you correctly, but I think you can do what you want already. Instead of ticking 16:9 under the Input Pixel Aspect Ratio, just tick 1:1. Then any resizing you do will be at the same ratio as the original 16:9 DVD, as stored in the vob files.

But if I'm missing what you're saying, maybe explain it again.

Shouldn't Gknot come with a faq or something like that is dedicated on anamorphic encoding. (Think of usefull hints and tricks maybe, or whatever). Might be a real crappy question, but I'm just curious what the possibilities are.

Thanks,
