You just need the framework. I don't know why we need it. Do you know why the preview stay blank?

Hi,
first of all my english is not so good.....sorry....
It seems that the latest sdk needs .net framework, what the ù*ù$^$ù*ù ?
More m$ ?
Does the dev team wants all free (and good) GUI killed ?
I hope this will be corrected...

There are no video improvements in the mercury build. They just switched to MSVC .NET as the build environment. If you do want to try, only the MSVC run-time DLLs should be needed, not the whole .NET framework, but I would not worry. Stick with the previous version, for which there will soon be an update with a nice change for the audio codecs.

What'S the name for the codec used by Real Networks? HE-AAC or AAC+?
karl_lillevold

HE-AAC is the name used in MPEG for the technology developed by Coding Technologies, which they had called AACPlus. Call it what you like, it is most commonly referred to as HE-AAC these days, it seems. See hydrogenaudio.org.

If I'm not wrong, Coding Technologies owns AACplus™ and therefore the standardised name is HE AAC.

I implemented the cmdline in RealAnime, and it seems that the cmdline version is faster than the SDK one...
