Been awhile since i posted -so i just thought i'd share how i do it.
Amd 1.3
Abit KT7
western digital 160 gig hd
512 ram
Visiontek Xtasy Everything -WMD nVidia-NTSC_M
IuVCR-capture tool-uncompressed-UYVY-320x240-composite in
capture with the Master stream as Video-AVI MUX standard
Audio 48000 16 bit sterio
edit in Vdub-comercials- and sometimes the audio has to be converted from a 48002 to 48000
save as uncrpressed avi
run thru AVI2SVCD-CCE encoder-1 pass CBR
burn with nero
works perfect
the software that came with the card for capturing is CRAP
Thanks to this forum i learned about DVD2SVCD-V Dub-IuVCR-and many other progies.
No doubt there are better ways and manys ways to get the job done, this is just what works for me.
