Well, for DVD-videos I use:

Blur & NR -> denoise3D - luma 0.50 AND chroma 0.50, time: 5:00

Resize & aspect Settings -> Specify size 1024x576 Method Lanczos Luma sharpen 1.10 AND Chroma sharpen 1.10

This is for PAL DVDs so with NTSC DVDs you have to use 852x480 or 854x480 as resize. Assuming that display is 16:9 TV and anamorphic DVD-movie or monitor with 1024x768 resolution. With NTSC you should use some custom resolution in monitor.

It actually depends from movie quality what settings you need but basically those above are all I need. Sometimes Sharpen -> unsharp mask at 10-20 strength is needed. These are my personal opinion settings and maybe not even near to optimal but at least better than nothing.

Denoise3D: Luma = 0.25 / Chroma 0.50 / Time: 5.00

But its a very CPU hungry processing... :(

Why you use Luma 0.25 and Chroma 0.50? I thought that they both should be same. :confused:

IMO chroma denoising is less destructive than luma denoising !!!

Btw, I should correct/complete my last post...

For my lower quality encodes:

Denoise3D - Luma = 0.25 / Chroma 0.50 / Time: 5.00 / HQ

For my higher quality encodes:

Denoise3D - Luma = 0.00 / Chroma 0.00 / Time: 5.00 / HQ
