This just started happeningly recently, but everytime I now try and capture with VirtualDubMod I get the following error:
"Access Violation in capture routine.
VirtualDub has intercepted a crash condition in one of its routines. You should save any remaining data and exit VirtualDub immediately. If you are running Windows 95/98, you should also reboot afterwards."
The other thing I notice is that after the error occurs, the next time I try and capture I get the error:
"FastWriteStream: couldn't open '[default capture file]': The operation complete successfully.."
The capture codec didn't seem to be the culprit. I am using the latest versions of VDubMod and I even tried the lastest VDub and I still get the error message. Using new versions of each didn't help.
My system is:
P4 2.6GHz
512 MB DDR 2700
ATI Radeon 9700 AIW
and I'm capturing to a WD Caviar 160GB 8MB cache drive which is on a different bus than my primary drives.
It was working just recently, so I'm not sure what went wrong. Any and all help is appreciated.
