Hi. Got an AVI with subs that i want to sync together.
This is what i've done so far: Loaded the .srt subtitle-file with VOBsub and started the movie and tried to sync it together with TimeAdjuster but without no luck, the subs started to flip out after a couple of minutes already. Since the AVI contained Two parts that i joined to One this might be the problem. Anyone know how to solve this as smooth as possible?
Thx.
PS. I've been looking around for similar questions at the forum but haven't found anything:confused:

I just assume your out sync point start from second combined part:
you can open your combined avi in subtitleworkshop,
and open your second *.srt,
because subtitleworkshop can accuratly set
your second *.srt begin point to combined last part begin point,
in a very simply and quickly setting.
save second *.srt.
then you can edit first *.srt in notepad, and copy second *.srt
behind the first srt.
and delete second srt's fileheader.
then save as a new srt.
above just my think ,not experience.

If you're gradually lose synch, it can be a framerate issue(PAL runs faster than NTSC) or simply the subtitles are not of the same source as the fim ( films are not the same length and are edited or not according to various countries; in that case you're in trouble )
I'd suggest to get subtitle workshop or subrip, and check first if the framerate is the same as the movie. You could either change the framerate of the srt or try to stretch(or squeeze) the time of it to fit the movie. Subtitle workshop has a preview mode where you check the framerates and basically adjust your subs manually if you need to, and subrip does it in a click and a half.
And a few other alternatives there (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=42423&highlight=synchronize+subtitles)
:)
and dont forget the doom9 guide to synching subs
Never forget that guide page, you can be sure there is an extensive guide for everything!
