Hey peoples

I used to use DVD Shrink to make Images of a DVD on my hard disk, but then my computer stuffed up (as only they can) and when i went back to using it i found it difficult to do this again.

I used to opne the DVD in DVD Shrink then click 'back up' and it would create an image to the hard disk after i specified the Image name (then i would burn the image with Nero). SO effecitvly i was doing it in 2 steps and only using Shrink to get an image

Now when i click back up it copies over all the files (of the dvd) to the hardisk, but then wants me to insert a disk to burn it straight away (doing it in 1 step, thats not what i want) and there is no Shrink image on my hard disk. Now i'm sure this is only to do with the settings or something but i can't figure it out, i want it back the way it was!!

Please help

Go to menu Edit - Preferences - File I/O - uncheck Enable burning with Nero.

If you just want to create an image, there's really no need to use dvdshrink, dvddecrypter in iso mode will do the trick. But I guess you want shrink functionality (although you didn't say so).

Did you follow Dimmer's advice? When you do an "open disc" and hit "backup" you will be presented with a choice of target devices if Nero burning is disabled. Select "ISO Disc Image" and you're done.
