Newbie: No subtitle

Hi!



I 've got 3 DVDs with only english subtitles. And so when I try to them no tool can them (DVDDecypter, VStrip, Vobsub, Subrip...).

They are certainly incusted and not in a stream but I thought with OCR recognition it migh be possible to get them.

Any help to understand the "why" and also to get them?

Hi and welcome to the forum,


programs like vobsub or subrip are specialized on ocr-ing text from subtitle streams. These subs have certain characteristics (constant background and font colours, timestamps) which make it much more straightforward to identify and OCR them compared with trying to identify burnt-in subs (no constant background, presence of subs is not indicated in any way).
