Hello,

I wonder, because of it seems difficult to judge the quality of this mode.
Indeed most of the devices supposed to manage it transforms it, in fact, in 720p to display it or to project it.
This, by the way most of tiles or videoprojectors don't intend a number of sufficient real pixels again to take fully advantage about the resolution of the 1080i.

How true guada,

But new high def screens are arriving. I already have an 1280x768 42" plasma screen which although may seem pretty pointless over here in Euroland it's made viewing PAL DVD's a more pleasurable experience compared to my previous 854x480 plasma (still fine for you guys with NTSC DVD's though). And Euro1080 content looks pretty good too!

If you want more vertical pixels check out Hitachi's new plasma screens as reported in this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=75624).

Cheers

I am sorry, i wouldn't to try a few encoding on a bi-proc Xéon 2.8 in this format to feel myself because of that.

Of course, my sources are "reliable" since it is about avant-gardist product,...
here is..
