Hi all,

I have a real problem, here are the details: i have a AVI file with a 25 FPS framerate and everytime i try to transcode it to MPEG NTSC it gives me out of sync audio. I use Mainconcept MPEG Encoder using the full D1 spec 720 x 480 with 29.97 FPS, audio is Layer 2, i set the aspect ratio to 16:9 and avg bitrate to 7500 kbps
i encode vbr.

is there any easy way to modify this avi file so it becomes NTSC compliant, or before the encoding or during the encoding process
i tried to change the frame rate in virtualdub by changing the frame rate conversion settings putting it to 29,976 FPS. the resulting files seems to be in sync, but as soon i try to encode, it goes out of sync

the main goal is to get a NTSC compliant DVD so it can be read on a majority of set top boxes.

Is TmpGenc better, if yes, what are the settings.

Give me as much details as possible, thanks

Some time ago I've tried to write such a guide. It isn't easy but it works ...
