Welcome to the forum!

A .wma file is created with Microsoft's proprietary WMA (Windows Media Audio) codec. If you're using Windows Media Player to rip your CD's to your hard drive, they'll have the .wma file extension.

Converting your .wma files to .wav or .mp3 files will allow other programs to recognize and process them. Navigate to the forum's "Downloads" page and look under "Audio Tools", there are several free tools listed there that can do this conversion for you.

This information might not seem very helpful, so try running some forum searches and see what pops up. Be prepared to scroll through a lot of threads, and by all means, post here with further information. Someone will drop in and give you a hand.

If it is DRM'ed you won't be able to read it with anything, but WMP. if it's not, iTunes can convert it to mp3, aac for you...
