up until a few months ago when i got a deal on 100 tdk cd-rs ($9.99) i had always used fujifilm media and NEVER had a problem. well i'm about halfway through this tdk 100 pack and about 50% of the discs i've used turned out to protect table tops from moisture. the only burner i've had while i've had the tdks is some crap brand in a crappy dell dimension in the other room. i've had numerous buffer underruns and i always figured it was the burner. until today when i bought an 8x pioneer dvd writer. well i tried burning only 1 cd and the write buffer indicator in nero dropped down very low a few times. i also borrowed a sony dvd burner a while back and i remember it did the same thing with the tdk media. i'm wondering what the exact cause is..the tdk dye is a lot lighter than those fujifilms, i bet it's the media, unless someone can think of an alternate cause. tdk is suppose to use high quality blanks though right? it doesn't add up. all i know is that buffer drops are not acceptable, i have mp3 discs with a bunch of little pauses in the tracks caused by this. both buffer indicators in nero should easially stay full throughout the entire burning process correct?
