Hi, does anyone know how to decode the cc_data fields from the caption user data in an ATSC Transport Stream? Also are there specs on parsing cc data from a ReplayTV 5000 series mpeg file? Anyone...? McPoodle?

Thanks

SCC Tools can already extract from ReplayTV5000 MPEG's. As for ATSC, I have documentation on the format when it is embedded in the video data like other caption formats, but this is all I have for captions in the Transport stream:

also, there can be extended data for extended 708-B data, added to
the following MPEG-2 Transport PSIP tables: PMT and EIT (PMT
required for cable, EIT required for terrestrial broadcast). The
caption service table begins with the tag 86.

I've never worked with transport streams before--if you could post a file somewhere, I'll see what I can do.
