I receive the following error message during the rebuild phase:

DVD rebuilder experienced a buffer overflow. Error #0003. Process must abort.

I am using DVD Rebuilder v.0.53 and Quenc v.0.51 with R1 Disc 1 of Brother Bear.

I had attempted this with CCE trial but received a error message (buffer overflow) during the encoding phase so I though I would try Quenc to see if it worked but didn't.

Any information as to the reason for the error?

If I reminder correctly, Brother Bear is a Multi-angle movie and that is one of the limitations of DVD-RB. See this thread, first one under limitations.

I am experiencing the exact same error KSPSlice on Dr. Zhivago side 1. I have experienced it with DVD Rebuilder 0.52, 0.53, and 0.54, and also with Quenc v. 0.51 and Rejig. Backups of every other movie I've tried have gone without a hitch. Is this some sort of new copy protection scheme we're starting to see?
