Hi!

I am trying to improve video quality of my 3 min. avi file. It was shot with DV camera but with lots of zoom, maybe X 300. Now the video is very noisy and full of snow. I know that there is not much to do but if someone can suggest witch filters to use and settings and maybe some AVS script I would be grateful. I was playing with Avisynth and ffdshow but all I get is blured video.

Thanks!

Can you upload one sample frame?

I know this does not help your question, but you should only use optical zoom on your camera, then you 'digital zoom' later in post production by cropping and resizing. This cropping and resizing is the only thing you camera does with 'digital zoom', but your camera uses a real-time algorythm, which may vary from camera to camera.

By shooting using only lens zoom, you get the best possible picture and can acheive 'digital zoom' using the best algorythm for your footage.

As for the footage you have, you can try bluring it a bit, I find that helps the general look of mosiac'd(big pixels) images
