what kind of player do you prefer?

for some reason, I don't know exactly why, I don't like the idea of having a seperate control window. What do you think?

Hmm, the new RL can have use both "style 1" and "style 2" skins as well as a complete User interface replacements - see Screenshot (http://www.radlight.net/radscorpion/images/rl4wmp.JPG) ;)

I prefer the one-window style too.

I've tried it with the latest beta shortly before I've made the topic ;) but couldn't figure out how it works and therefore thought it cannot work

You need to create a new moduleset, add everything but the standard User Interface module and add the GUI_WMP.DLL instead. Then simply switch the modulesets and ... :D

Right. The moduleset editor looks weird, I know :D We'll be redesigning this soon.

will you make single window style as default? Look at the poll result :)

Kinda. We'll be rewriting the GUI before 4.0 final so it doesn't make much sense to touch it now but it should work like this :

- you open an audio file, everything stays as it is now
- you open a video file and the main form will hide leaving you with only one window

Also, there will be a new one-window skin included so both camps can be satisfied :p
