It just won't run on my dvd player.I have completed the process with dvd-rb i burned the video_ts with nero in iso file and then with dvddecrypter to philips 4x DVD-RW disc. The disc in unreadable.Since i use nec-2500 with hacked firmware do u think that burning with plextor 708 would have better results? What is wrong?

NTSC or PAL? Any preprocessing? DVD-RB Version? CCE, QuEnc, or Rejig? Version of CCE? eclCCE in use?

I've done it bunches of times. It is one of my test discs because the size is a challenge.

It's PAL ,i only pressed prepare (it took 8 minutes )than encode ( 6 passes 423 minutes ) and finally rebuild disc (15 minutes) .I have CCE 2.66.01.07 with Eclcce 1.81.
I have tried with the original source (.iso file) and another i had prossesed with dvd-shrink to remove ac3 2.0 dolby ,subtitles , and reduce the menus but the result was the same , dvd-rw didnt play at all. Also in Nero i used the image recorder and dvd-video settings and outputed the video_ts files in a new .iso .That final .iso i burned with dvddecrypter.

and eclcce in use.And finally advance cce (expert) options
VBR_Bias = 30 and Quality_Prec = 28 (and it gave much better results with onother one i had tried with 4 passes and default CCE expert settings ).

I agree here. Have you tried just burning it with the DVD video option? I know it isnt suppose to as compatible as burning an image, but since you are using an RW it wouldnt hurt to try. Also, is the error from your standalone, "Disc error?"
What version of RB are you using?

If it looks good on your software DVD player, Windvd, Powerdvd etc., I would have to assume that it is the way it is getting burned.

Have you ever burned another DVD on this particular DVD-RW, in the same way, and had it play on this same standalone?

I also did ROTK PAL with DVD-RB.

I used CCE 2.50 and DVD-RB 0.49 and it doesn't work in my Sony NS900 or Cyberhome 400. It works in my Panasonic HS2. I used a Memorex -R.

I believe it is down to my burning program. I used copytodvd. I redid it on a +RW with Nero and it worked fine in all players.

I also did Spirited Away and that doesn't work in the same two players. I think I used CopytoDVD with that as well.

I haven't had any problems with Nero. I have also started using DVD Decrypter to burn.

RW discs are not as compatible as R discs, try using an R disc if it plays back on your computer... and burn it as "DVD-Video" in nero. then it should be grand

I changed my dvd-recorder (now using plextor 708 )and burned the same movie files in nero as DVD-VIDEO files, and copytodvd 3.0.18 i also tried a Ritek-G04 DVD-R but the standalone dvd-players says NO DISC.i can't understand the nature of the problem so i will go through the process of rebuilding the dvd with DVD-RB and see if the problem is solved.

Has this player has successfully played back DVD-R discs that you have created before?

I haven't tried a diferent movie because Lord Of The Rings III is the first movie i've done with DVD-RB.But i have tried more than 100 that i used InstantCopy 8 and they play perfect ,even the cheaper media play good.Anyway i used DVD-RB and rebuilded the movie once again,i burned the DVD-VIDEO files but NOTHING.I used 4-5 programs to burn the DVD-VIDEO files but nothing.i can't believe this is happening because the quality of the movie is absolutely perfect and it dosent work:devil:

I was having the same problem for awhile, tried nero.. nero DVD-Video file ...then I tried DVD-Shrink 3.1.7.6. I did Full Disc, Open Files, found my DVD-ReBuilder movies, didn't touch anything, backup, selected my burner and abit later well what do you know... a dvd-rb movie that worked for me.

Hope this helps

I experienced a similar problem. Burned disk will not play on my son's PS2 or my older Apex. On both the title menu is shown, but when play is pressed in that menu both players bomb out to blue screen. The Apex shifts from displaying "title" to "root" just before it bombs out.

However, the same disk will play in my newer CyberHome. I would think this would indicate some kind of error on rebuild but I know nothing about DVD structure and frankly never want to do so.

Source was TrueLies encoded with DVD-rb .52 using plain OPV with no filters, although I think I did have 1/2D1 for extras checked. I've had this problem with quite a few test attempts with dvd-rb, but had been thinking it was a bad burn. Now, it does not seem to be so as I verified the disk against the video_ts folder and it was bit perfect.
