ok I converted a bunch of SVCD's and some AVI's to MPEG2 to be burnt onto a dvd. I used TMPgenc and I used 8000 constant bit rate (720x480)and mp2 audio. the 8000 bitrate came out too large to fit on a dvd and I knew that but i wanted to get the highest possible quality and then compress the final product using DVD Shrink.
So I converted it to mpeg2 then authored it (tmpauthor dvd) then shrunk the dvd down to fit onto a disc
They all play great in a real DVD player but when I try to play them on any PS2 (chipped or unchipped) they skip all over the place the video slows down and speeds up at different times. I tried different media and different burners same result
what do I have to do to make thesse dvd's work in a PS2 ?
I am posting here because i have a feeling it has to do with the way I'm converting the dvd on my pc and the ps2 hardware
I searched but people seemed to have different problems concerning a ps2
