I've got a Toshiba SD-R5002 burner and I was looking for some inexpensive and reliable printable media. I found this Samsung 1x Printable DVD-R at Rima:

Has anyone tried these discs? How reliable are they? Thanks in advance.

Havent tried, but if thats them in the picture and "Inkjet/Thermal Printable" it seems though they're just slightly transparent matte/white surface and not a proper ink-compatible surface. Kinda like you get with budget "printable" CD-R's.

I say, if you waste ink printing, you should print good looking stuff (unless its just black text).

I tried the Samsung a few month ago with my 105. Not so good, as I had a few coasters even at 1X.

I found the 1X Optodisc to be more reliable at this time and cheaper.

You could also try the 1x Ritek from Rima if they are still available. Very good compatibiilty with all players and PS2.
