I found this scenarist error FAQ on the net and translated it using Babel. You may have seen it before but I have found it helpful.
Thanks to the doom9 user Alsair http://www.arlsair.de.vu for this great FAQ. I noticed some were not filled in. Maybe someone could fill in the non answered ones?
This is an accumulation of warnings and error messages, which Scenarist spends, which is absolutely incomprehensible however usually for the layman. Suitably there is therefore still the error cause and the solution.
Who knows still further error messages and their solution, this can me gladly (if possible with a left to a Thread o.ae.) to send on arlsair@gleitz.info.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error message
Warning quadrant or sigma Design MPEG decoder is emergency present or the more driver is emergency in valley LED.
Warning hardware decoding OF video May emergency work
Error cause
The first message states that none of the two Dekoder are installed for MPEG.
The moreover the computer hardware MPEG Dekoder map does not enthaet. Therefore the real time preview does not function, since one assumed with the development with Scenarist as Authoring program for professionals the computer possesses such a thing.
Solution
One can ignore these messages confidently.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error message
Warning NUMBER OF SequenceEndCode is 0.
Error cause
The SequenceEndCode was not set when coding.
Solution
One adjusts the Enkoder in such a way that that sets the SequenceEndCode.
However this is often not at all intended, since the final code leads with some DVD Playern to the fact that they stop before a few seconds to play. One can also ignore the warning therefore.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error message
Warning Sub Picture (stream 1 in TRACK "VTS_05_PGC_02") is across scene boundary RK 00:00:00;10
Error cause
This meant that the sub-title in the place over 2 scenes goes.
Solution
One can usually ignore this warning. Only with DVDs with "Button over video" this may not occur.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error message
Error Subpicture Decoding Stream NUMBER for type character box OF Stream 0 is 1 in "PGC: (Title: VTS: ) ". It should less than 0.
Error cause
???
Solution
Go into Scenarist into the Scenario editor.
There clicks you then the appropriate Title symbol on (it is VTS 1 Title 2 here) and insures themselves that the option Subpicture Available is located in the characteristic window down in the center on custom.
Then you click the appropriate PGC symbol (here PGC 2) and double-click down in to characteristics on the window on the yellow Subpicture of attributes files. Then again on Subpicture of attributes files appeared and now see one a list to the sub-titles. Here one should adjust now something else than 0 for Wide and type character box.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error message
Info. Creating DVD files
Error Scene duration shall more than 0,4 second.
Error cause
This error usually ensteht with PGCs, which are very short (usually only 10-15 Frames long). It concerns Slideshows. Since this Slideshows exists however only in each case few i-Frames, also only these by DVD2AVI are decoded. Thus it comes that also the resulting video consists only of few i-Frames. A video must be long with Scenarist however at least 0,4 seconds. Therefore the error message comes.
Solution
The Slideshow consists of individual fixed images, which have usually own VobIDs. In rare cases in addition, only CellIDs. And exactly the same one must copy the PGCs also in Scenarist:
As the first one must demuxen the appropriate VTS by VobID.
This I became in a separate work listing with DoItFast4U! make. Deactivate simply all other VTSes and with this VTS the option Demux by VobID activate.
We use the original VobIDs without new coding, since one does not save eh a storage location.
Now in Scenarist one imports the data, by pulling it simply by Drag&Drop in the DATA editor. Which VobIDs one must import, one can take IfoEdit. All videospuren should be recognized as coded fixed images. Import also existing clay-pure in such a way.
Then one into the TRACK editor goes. There one draws DATA from down right from the window the new data into the TRACK window and provides thereby the TRACKS. If one is asked for the type, selects one Slide Show .
Now one doubleclicks on the newly created TRACKS and selects in quietlythe Stream the fixed image. In the characteristic window down in the center one can adapt under Duration the running time according to that to original IFO (see IfoEdit).
Now one can add still the clay-pure, if there which are. Simply from the window the appropriate clay-purely in the TRACK window pull in DATA.
Over Tools - > import Subtitle... one can import sub-titles.
Now one in the Scenario editor knows the data (everything which below the PGC to mark) the PGCs, which are incorrect according to error message, deletes and then the new to provide.
In addition one draws from the TRACKwindow from down on the right of the new TRACKS on the appropriate PGCs. which where belongs, infers one IfoEdit.
Now one can again try a compiling.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error message
Error The number(0.0) OF frame in A VOBU is less than 10,00 (around 00:01:37;19).
Warning Exiting is canceled because "ExitVobuSizeError" is 0 into the file Scenarist.ini.
Error CAN emergency READ A GOP RK 00:01:38;06 (try ton READ = 80544 B; READ done = 18680 B).
Error cause
A scene is shorter than the minimum length of 0.4 seconds.
There are there several possibilities, how it can come to it:
There are two scenes, which lie very close together. Since a scene can begin in each case with a i-Frame and Scenarist assigns the scenes to the next i-Frame, it can come that both scenes are assigned to the same i-Frame. This is however not permitted.
It can also be that a scene lies after the end of the film. If now the film with a i-Frame ends (possibly because the film was coded too briefly).
And the error can occur with Slideshows and fixed images.
Solution
And here the solutions in the order of the causes sorts:
The problem can be repaired, by during coding the video with the scene change sets a i-Frame.
The current versions of BatchCCE (starting from v0.9.1.4) and ScenAid (starting from 0.9.0.6) pick the cello formations out and set when coding for each Cell a i-Frame. Thus each scene has its own i-Frame.
Once the film should already have the correct length. This is reached by DVD2AVIdg/Mpeg2Dec3dg (becomes from DoItFast4U! since v1.41 beta supports).
And then the problem is reached again by importing the cello formations in BatchCCE.
See in addition the above error message.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error message
Error Write VOB failed. Please check by mission or disk space.
Error DVD files could emergency created
Error cause
Too little storage location.
Solution
Scenarist needs 4.37 GB (or less, if the DVD is not full) with the Komplieren once to the multiplex one and then again 4.37 GB for the actual DVD data.
Make free simply somewhat more place.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Error CAN emergency open subpicture file (D:\DoItFast4U!\Scenarist\Cache\Encoded Files\VTS_03_VSUB_P1A1-01 -- Deut_32.sp)
Error cause
Solution
Here there are several solutions:
One deletes simply the appropriate sub-titles. In addition one opens the appropriate sst file and deletes the appropriate sub-title.
Sometimes it is enough to remove some picture parts from the appropriate sub-title. One can make that e.g. with Microsoft Paint.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error message
When importing the warning comes:
Warning (file name) is emergency supported file format. Imported as more placeholder.
When compiling then the error message comes:
Info. Creating DVD files
Error The TRACK has place get-getting that.
Error cause
Scenarist is to import a file in a format, with which it does not know to begin anything. For such data by Scenarist substitute symbols are provided, with which one can provide first times the TRACKS and the Scenario. When compiling those bring naturally nothing and produce therefore the error.
Solution
One goes in the DATA editor and holds after the substitute symbols look out. They are easily recognizable from the linkage arrow. These clicks one on and can then in the characteristic window down in the center read off, which file is expected.
Now one ensures for the fact that the file is present. In addition it can be enough e.g. to rename a m2v file in mpv or one did not code simply the file yet.
Then one goes again in the DATA editor and clicks with the right mouse button on the substitute symbols. In the selection menu one selects now Place Holder - > DATA and the file one imports and one merges correctly into the TRACKS and into the Scenario.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error message
Scenarist falls without error message, if one script on "new one from". clicks.
Error cause
Scenarist does not get along with the new Nvidia IDE drivers under WinXP (perhaps also different operating systems???).
Solution
One must change the IDE driver manually.
One goes into the equipment manager. (start - > attitudes - > system control - > system - > hardware - > equipment managers). There one deinstalliert under IDE ATA/ATAPI CONTROLLER the Nvidia driver. To install requested with the next start one a new driver. In the Wizard one selects the second option software of a list... . Also in the next dialogue one selects the second option does not select... . Now one selects the standard Zweikanal PCI IDE CONTROLLER.
