i just got a new dvd burner, the MSI DR8-A2. i found out that it doesnt like cheap media, unlike my pioneer A05. i have the chance to swap it for a NEC ND-2510A, the dual layer one. should i or should i not?
i burned lotsa unbraded media with my A05 and never had a problem. can i get a firmware hack for the DR8-A2 to take cheap media? or does the ND-2510A work with all media out of the box?
i dunno whats the name of the media but heres what dvddecrypter showed.

it worked with one of the dvdrs but never after.
recordnow MAX gives me this error all the time now.

and that HD burn is kinda stupid if it only works with few cdr brands.

The 2510 has the same insides as the 2500 which has a very good reputation for be able to write to poor quality media (http://www.cdfreaks.com/article/134) so it might be a good swap.
