Does anyone know what software to use for this burner? Nero doesn't support it.

how about the software that came with the drive?

just a thought. And have you tried the latest version of Nero (6.3.1.15, released just a couple of days ago)?

O)EM version of drive no screws no software no cables. It does not appear in ahead's list of supported drives and therefore not supported in latest nero 6.3.1.15

I just got my nec 2510 last weekend. I have burned two movies on it with no issues?? Using latest release of nero 6.3.1.15. When I burned 4x media it only showed it burned at 4x but seamed to burn faster. I also burned an iso with dvd decrypter and with 4x media showed 6x burning speed.

I'd be kinda nervous burning at 6x on 4x media...remember all the issues people had trying to burn 2x on 1x media?

I agree, but I have read a lot of post where people with 8X burners are burning fine on good 4x media at higher speeds. I checked all 3 movies and burned and all were fine. I am sure when I run out of 4x media I may look at getting some 8x.

check this out: link (http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=96333)

in general, burning 6x on 4x media seems to be quite safe. i'm burning my 4x blanks (TDK's) @ 6x and have only a very minor amount of deterioriation (what a word ;)) in write quality. for me, burning 4x media @ 8x results in unacceptable quality when checked with "KProbe."
