Smart Stretch
Isn't it annoying to watch 4:3 films on a widescreen (16:9) display (or vice versa) with the movie image stretched and distorted? Smart Stretch lets you customize your viewing image by intelligently compensating for the differences in displays.

Hmm... Will it be possible to use the TrimensionDNM in other players, like ZoomPlayer ?

I have testet windvd6, the trimension thing looks very good on my pc, but i cant get it to use my TV refresh rate (50Hz).

I'm also missing a option in windvd6 to display the video anamorph to get full resolution on my 16:9 TV.

Hmmm, so Smart Stretch isn't so smart after all?

Smart stretch is a joke...

you can adjust wich part of the picture will be stretched more. Like don't "compress" the center of the picture, but the left and right side much more. It just looks stupid if a person is running from side to side in the movie.
Like "Fisheye" ;)

with Trimension enabled i get flickering on my tv. like in a pc game when vsync is disabled.

Hope it will be possible in near future to use this thing with reclock filter :)

I've found a way to enable the TrimensionDNM in zoomplayer.
just add this to the registry:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\InterVideo\Common\VideoDec\zplayer]

"UseDNM"=dword:00000001

and this is for some settings:

"32PULLDOWN"=dword:00000001
"NOVIDEODROP"=dword:00000001
"HDFASTMODE"=dword:00000001
"PROGSCAN"=dword:00000001

i've set them to 0 (zero) because ive got async audio if i enable all this settings.

Hi,

Is anyone using WinDVD 6 on Windows XP with SP1?

I am having a bit of a problem. I have Creative Soundblaster Live 5.1 Platinum card installed. And in my Windows Mutimedia Settings I have set my speaks to 5.1 Speak System.

Now everytime I close WinDVD it resets my speak system to NONE. So next time I start WinDVD I don't get Surround Sound Audio.

Is it happening with others or is it just me?

Thanks
-Amit

Does anyone know how to get rid of the Spyware like thing from InterActual that is installed with WinDVD? I managed to delete/uninstall it but then WinDVD complains about it on every startup :mad:

there should be startup mode option (previous version has, not very sure about this version) where u can select "dvd video" instead of "Interactual features". hope this will solve the problem.

Philips seems serious about this new Trimension line, though DNM is of no particular interest to me. MAE on the other hand... damn it, I want to try it already! (So I can discover that it didn't live up to their hype and let the disappointment be over as soon as possible... perhaps.)

Amit, I'm having a very similar problem. The WinDVD here doesn't change my Windows settings but it doesn't know my system is capable of 4 speakers output. I've configured 4 speakers everywhere I can, including Windows Audio Setup and the Live! driver. Interesting though is that when I run the program for the first time after a reboot, it does display the 4 speaker selection not greyed out (so I can select it). But it doesn't remember that option so I can never have a surround output.

And one more problem, how do I disable the Intervideo MPEG4 Decoder? It installed itself as the default XviD decoder (with higer merit) but it crashes on XviD 1.0.1 encodes and I can't make XviD Decoder become the default again. So I have to use the ffdshow "passthrough" to use the XviD decoder. That option is seriously tempting me to uninstall WinDVD. :(

Amit, after reading what you said I checked out and realized WinDVD keeps resetting my Speaker Config on Windows every time. That's why I always got 2 channel when I opened the program a second time.

Well, that resetting is obviously a bug. Too bad. :( Does anyone know a way to contact InterVideo?

Rash have you tried to install Xvid 1.0.1 again after you have installed windvd 6, that should get xvid to be the default codec again. I haven't tried windvd, but that approach has worked for me before when other programs/codecs have hijacked the rights from the default codec.

I did Mordor, but it didn't work. But thanks for the tip. ;) I managed to de-install the InterVideo filter and it is all right now.
