Was wondering if anyone has tried backing up the movie "Paycheck", and then backing up their backup of that movie. I cannot...was wondering if this movie also contains that "new" protection?
I can make an image from the original DVD I bought and make a backup of that image, but cannot copy from my backup disc using shrink, decrypter, or clone???
If you have the original why backup a backup?
If you are getting a read error it is likely a bad disc.

I recently gotten in the habit of re-ripping my backups to make sure the media/burn was okay (even the best brands aren't 100% reliable). I've also recently made a backup of Paycheck, and I had no problem re-ripping the backup to an ISO using DVDDecrypter.
I suspect k2 is right - your first backup might be flawed.

Agree - almost ceratinly a media/burn issue with the fist backup.
Sometimes I can re-rip backups no worries and other times, never gonna happen.
Usually the cheap discs are the ones to give the errors.

I don’t usually rip my backups, especially if they were ripped with any compression, because of diminishing quality. However when I need to backup any of my backups I use Nero 6 DVD copy function. If you have Nero 6, you can use that, however you must first find the correct DVD copy setting for Nero 6. I don’t remember where I found it, but Im sure if you do some google searching you'll find a link. That’s what I did anyway.

There are several testing tools to verify your back up without making copies of copies... You'll find them HERE. (http://forum.doom9.org/search.php?s=)

Was the link to the empty search window intentional? As it stands the post isn't particularly helpful.

If posts were graded on helpfulness, you would get a failing grade today based on posts I have seen of yours... I wouldn't talk if I were you...
