I'm interested to confirm the different broadcasting frequencies of both DVB-T and DVB-C around Europe.

Over here in the UK DVB-T uses UHF frequencies of between 470 - 860MHz (no VHF bands). Which are then divided into 'multiplexes' (1, 2, A, B, C & D). And since the demise of our countries first foray into the technology (by ONdigital, aka ITVdigital) QAM64 has been paired with QAM16.

For a more detailed breakdown of the UK's TV stations, please click here (http://SeeMoreDigital.net/07_DVB_Info/DVB-T/DVB-T_Stations.html).

Unfortunately I've been unable to ascertain the DVB-C frequencies used by the UK's two major providers, TeleWest and NTL. I only have some of the analogue frequencies (http://SeeMoreDigital.net/07_DVB_Info/DVB-C/Analogue_Cable_Stations.html).

What frequencies are your countries using? Does any European country broadcast DVB-T via VHF?

Cheers

EDIT: Title change and analogue cable frequencies added

I am using DVB-C on comhem cable tv network here in Sweden.
I have scanned following frequencies for the muxes:

306 MHz
314 MHz
322 MHz
338 MHz
346 MHz
354 MHz
362 MHz
370 MHz
378 MHz
386 MHz
394 MHz

All the channels use symbolrate 6875 and QAM 64. Each frequency is charing different TV and radio channels muxed together.

Great stuff Ronny!

That's just the sort of information I'm looking for.... anybody else?

In italy DVB-T is transmitted both in VHF with 7Mhz bandwidth and
in UHF/8 Mhz.
There's no DVB-C.

After looking at ronnylov's post again I decided to obtain more detailed information about the 'frequency ranges' of the receiving equipment.

The following info is from Technisat's equipment: -

AirStar 2 PCI - Terrestrial (DVB-T)

Input Frequencies
174 - 230 MHz / 471 - 860 MHz

Channel Bandwidth
7/8 MHz

CableStar 2 PCI - Cable (DVB-C)

Input Frequencies
81 - 860 MHz

Symbol-rate
6MHz: 1-5,3 MS/s
7MHz: 1-7 MS/sI must admit I find it interesting that the DVB-C frequencies ronnylov posted are in between the pick-up ranges of the DVB-T card!

I wonder how many other cable providers use frequencies between 231 - 470MHz?

Comhem does also send analouge radio and TV-channels on the same cables so maybe that's why they have picked a frequency range for the digital channels that are outside the normal analogue frequency range.

Here are the analague channels on the same cable as I scanned before:

Edit: Maybe it's also a good idea to avoid sending on the same frequenccy range on cable as the terrestial network use to avoid problems with channel interference.
