Hello all,

I'm using mainly Instant copy for my...backups :D

I was wondering if ther is a "cut off point" where you shouldn't drop below a certain percentage on compressing a pressed dvd to fit on one dvdr. Sometimes I have to go with something in the 90 percent range, once I compressed finding nemo somewhere in the low 80's..it looks good, but dori's blue looks a little washed at the edges..i think, or maybe I was just looking for a problem.

So, is there a percentage to not drop below?

Thanks

there is no right answer to your question. that is everyone has their own opinion on whats acceptable and what isnt. also different dvds handle different amounts of reduction differently, so while movie A starts showing bad effects after a small amount of reduction movie B doesnt.

as for dori's fin.....well if you are unsure if you could really tell a difference or not then its probably fine. i mean you are not going to be trying to find such a questionable difference when watching it normally are you ? :)
