hi people,
please some help.
i don't understand it anymore.
i reauthor my own dvdr
i insert subtitles.
demux audio and m2v with vobedit.
put it all together with chapters and my own subs.
i use different software and i can work with them all.
but here is the problem.
i reauthor a dvd (m2v audio demuxed by vobedit) own subs (from srt 2 sup).
when i play the dvdr normal from the beginning everything is good.
after a while the subs are gone and then shortly after that, the movie makes a shock and then everything is good again.
this happens a few time in the dvdr.
but now it comes, when i only select one vob file with powerdvd then there are no subs and the dvd plays just fine.
why is this happening? i don't understand it.
where is the error then?
PLEASE SOME HELP.

if i select 1 vob in powerdvd it plays fine.
if i play the dvd selecting the complete dvd it sometimes stops with the subtitle and after a minute or 2 the video gets jerky and then everything is good again for a while.
i tryed to demux the video with dvdDecrypter instead of vodedit and reauthor it again.
but on the exact same time codes i get the problem again.
so the way of demux does not matter.
could it be the srt 2 sup converthing that gives the troubles?
i used dvdsupencoder.
strange thing is that i had this trouble before but with dvdmaestro.
i convert srt 2 stl with subtitle workshop.
so this are different ways but with the same troubles.
please people, does anybody recordnice this and can help me?
Thanks.
If you have already prepared video, audio and subtitles /sup/
then try to use ReJig program.
In Rejig open DVDautor ,input video, input audios as many as you like, input subtitles as many as you like, set target folder and press CREATE.
But remeber ,before pressing create button check that audios and subtitles are tied with corresponding languages.
Subtitles colors can be corrected later by Supremap program by editing ifo.

i used rejig for this dvdr.
but are you saying that audio and subtitle has to be the same languages?

no , differentiate them acc. as they are
1-English
2-French
make tests and try to get two subtitles be displaed at the same time,
I have got 1 on upper side 2 on the bottom
For tests you can use the same subtitle set. adding twice.or more
I am ineresting about your results, but try to change colors to be able to see them on the screen

EDITED: But to see subs play using DVD programs, like Power DVD
For tests for audio streanm playback you can use VLCplayer to play directly vob

this afternoon i tryed a different way.
And again the same trouble but at different timelines.
I tryed demux m2v with dvddecryter and audio with vobedit.
sub with srt2sup.
author with rejig.
I'm lost and don't see the problem anymore.
@ed,
can you explain what you mean?
i don't understand.
thanks.
APPIE,
You already wrote above that you used Rejig program, so I was thinking that you are familiar with it.
Please go back to Rejig, open it , open DVD Author and take a closer look to the left side
AUDIO press smal triangle
AUDIO DELAY you can set here some number to synchronise audio and video
SUBPICTURE again press triangle
PAL/NTSC
Best way, try to with some sample about 1 minute long than it is easie to make different tests and get some conclusions.
Greetings

the settings is no problem.
i used rejig before.
i now the settings.
1 minute sample is not enough.
it happens only a few time during the dvdr.
firts time with the last try was about 8 minutes into the movie.
second came at 1 hour 3 minutes or so.
i used different kinds of software.
i don't now what the trouble is.
i'm starting to believe its my computer?
maybe software interference?
  :(
APPIE,
I can only advice you to use some fixing programs, take special care to audio track ,if it is AC3 audio then use AC3Fix (as far as i rember) before muxing to the .vob.
Such problems as yours are typical when audio has some discontinuites.

edit:
also check time stamps in your subtitles (overlaping) or even be case that next timestemp is younger than that before one.

wel today did a clean install on computer and still there is a problem.
so it's nothing with software inteference.
ac3 fix?
well if i play only 1 vob by selecting this in powerdvd it plays fine.
if i select the ifo and play it with powedvd from beginning there is a problem.
if you select only the vob you can't select any subs.
then it's ok.
seems like there is something with the subs?
but tryed different program to create sup file.
still problem.
am i the only one with such problems?
but i give up.
i'm lost here.:(
