HI, im having problems encoding with dvd rebuilder. I set up dvd rebuilder just like the tutorials suggested and when it gets to the encoding part it just flies right through it and doesn't encode anything. I purchased cce basic and it won't encode with it for some reason. CCE basic works fine with some other programs I have, and dvd rebuilder works using rejig, but I can't get them to work together. Can anyone please help?

I have the directories pointing straight to MPEG2DEC3DG and DECOMB.DLL so I know its not that. And I tried three different films, and the same thing happens.

If you don't it may not work with CCE.

Are you sure you have the right CCE checked under Options/CCE Options?

point it to eclcce.exe instead of the .exe of cce

I was thinking of working directories for source movie and output directory where the AVS subdirectory is.

Did you check the generated AVS-Files (from the Prepare-Phase) for errors (with Media Player or ZoomPlayer)? A "too quick" Encode usually means, that there is something wrong with the AVISynth-Setup and CCE only encodes the Error-Message-"Movies" generated by AVISynth, which are only 10-20 Frames long.

Yeah when i checked the .avs it says MPEG2Source: couldn't open file.

Do you have any idea of how i can fix that? thanks

Ive tried that and it didn't work. I purchased cce basic so I shouldn't have to anyway

You can check the following

- your Setup. I had to specifically include the MPEG2DEC3dg.dll
in the AVS (DVD-Rebuilder Setup-Menu). Only the Version from the decodefix110.zip will work, all later ones (1.30 or the new renamed ones) won't work with DVD-Rebuilder!

- Check the generated D2V-Files (they are text files). Are the paths to the VOB-Files still correct?

Everything is fixed

Jdobbs helped me, and he figured out that the problem was that because I had dvd2svcd installed, it changed the registry of some of the avisynth files. Thus causing encoding problems.

Thanks to everyone for the help, i really appreciate it.

To fix the problem, I just removed all the programs i thought used avisynth and would cause it to mess up. I think the one that was causing the problems was DVD2SVCD.
