Hi.

I have done a backup of Monster Inc, I have used the quality dvd backup guide on dvdr-digest.
But I have some problem with the backup. When I start with powerdvd, it just work fine. But when I try to start it in my dvdplayer to the TV, I got problem. (I get the same problem if I use it with windvd on pc) It start up, but the screen is black. On the player it stay 19:1. I push the play button on the dvdcontrol 3-4 times, and then It came to there I should pick language. I pick my language, and for the second time I get black screen. I hit the play button 2-3 times and it go to the main menu. And from there it works fine. But if I push menu button on the control, when I start my dvd, it works fine.Then it go right to the menu. What is wrong? is it possible to fix without rerip?
Sorry if this is posted wrong place.

Thanks for all help I can get.

PowerDVD is a poor measure of DVD navigation. It plays almost anything that shouldnt work. Try with WinDVD and PowerDVD before burning. If neither of them fails, then it should work on a standalone.

Now I have tried it with WinDVD, and I get the same problem here as I get on the standalone.
What can be wrong with the monster Inc?

I have now done a new backup of monster inc, but get the same problem.
I have also done a backup of fightclub and this work good.
I dont understand what I am doing wrong with monster inc, when I have done exactly the same on monster inc as on fightclub.

@Indi

You may do well to download a copy of IFOedit on this one. If you choose to, use this program to load the VIDEO_TS.IFO file of your project. Once done, click "Get VTS Sectors." What IFOedit will do, is check your navigational structures and fix any problems that it incounters. Then you can use IFOedit's built-in DVD playback feature to test things out and see if they're playable before commiting the project to a DVDR. This process has saved my bacon more than once!

If still in doubt, burn the files on a rewritable to test on your standalone -- so at least you won't have another coaster on the coffee table.

Good luck to ya!
