This has happened on a couple of rips.
I did not notice until it was pointed out to me.
I can't account for why this happens.
If the standard is 480 x 480, why does this happen or is this an acceptable format?
I did not have any problem with playing the SVCD's, but some have.
Thx

I get this error when ripping my NTSC dvd's aswell .. 464*480 instead of 480 .. also mine isnt deinterlaced, ivtc, so there is a bug with ntsc i must say, or something we do wrong.
Did u use D2SRoBa ?
If yes, then after using D2SRoBa when I used D2S I got this error.
Go to the frameserver Tab and click on the "..." button next to the BiCubic filter. Make sure the TargetWidth and TargetHeight are set to AUTO. This fixed my problem.

I have been watching for this problem.
The last occurance was with the Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition. This movie is split across 2 DVDs. I ripped DVD 1 to 2 SVCD's - no problem. I started a rip of DVD 2 to 2 SVCD's and got the 464 x 480 problem. I don't figure that 2 DVDs of the same release were formatted differently. I set up DVD2SVCD for a 3 SVCD rip of the same DVD 2 and it was encoded at 480 x 480.
I recall some thread mentioning the parametrs for AviSynth being calculated modulo 16. It seems that there is some problem affected by the requested bitrate.
Anyway, what I do these days is on the Frameserver tab, I select "Edit when dvd2avi is done" to check the AviSynth script file.
When I have seen the width at 464, I change to 480 and I have seen no adverse effects.
