View Full Version : .51b rebooting my system?

I've been using DVD-RB heavily over the past week from versions .50-.51 and haven't had a problem with anything. Today before I was going to backup a DVD, I check and saw that .51b was just released. I downloaded it and proceeded to backup the 6th disc of Band of Brothers (R1 NTSC). Shortly into the encoding, my machine rebooted. After rebooting, I tried it again and the same thing happened. When I checked the AVS directory, both times it rebooted after getting 32MB into CCE transcoding. I deleted version .51 off my machine when I put .51b on. Could somebody please post a link to .51 for me to try in order to see if .51b is really at fault here?

Thanks!

Hi,

I'm getting the same problem. Machine hanging when starting to encode, using the latest cce 2.67.011.

More Info, this only happens in 3 click mode, 1 click mode runs fine. I am using winxp. Will look into it further tonight.

All previous versions worked fine.

Glen.

Just a follow-up:

I just ran the same DVD through .51 and everything went smoothly. Something in .51b was causing my machine to reboot.

I was having the same problem with .5 only to find that I had overloaded the powersupply, which up until then had not shown any problems. I disconnected my dvd rom drive and it started working again. The workout on the cpu with these programs is more than most burn in testing programs exert.
