Hello again.
Have just encoded 24 Season1 Disc5... works fine as usual. BUT: Suddenly the subtitles doesnīt work!!! They are visible in the subtitle menu, but they are not displayed when selected.
Last time I ran DVD-RB was with version 0.49 and 24 Season1 Disc4, and then the subtitles were fine!
I use a DVD player in my computer (Nec 1300 and Pioneer 104), and I have tested different software players and the result is the same... :-(
Good work else with the new audio selection alternative :)
Best Regards

What audio selection alternative?
btw. I'm not sure but I think if you use dvd-rb to remove subtitles, the ones below it are moved up in order (like oldest versions of dvdshrink or ifoedit), so then your subs are in the wrong stream and wont play when chosen through the movie menus. Is this the case?
Or, do they not show at all if you choose them in the player's own menu? I did a movie with 0.51(a) and I have no sub problems in windvd or standalone players.

(was pointing at the new audio selection feature in setup in dvd-rb 0.51)
The subs are avalible for selection during playback of the movie. And all subs are selectable during playback, but the subs do not show when selected.

Wow. This ain't good. There must be a glitch in the way I've implemented the subtitle exclusion code. I'll look at it tonight.

...eh wtf was I bladdering about... =)
The audio selection feature was obviously not new in ver 0.51, though the subpicture selection feature was.. :)
So, correction from me, and an apology aswell.
I c more ppl confirmed the same subtitle problem.
My complete trust is with you jdobbs to find a solution :) And I have no doubt you will. Sorry I canīt help you any further, but to test any new releases.

All,
Can you check something for me? Have any of you actually gone into the SETUP and set the defaults for subtitles you want to keep. I think I found the bug -- if you don't do the setup at least one time it will default to "not" selected. :scared:
I just want to make sure this is definitely the problem before posting the fix.
Sincerely,
jdumbass

Luckily it seems, I did what I always do. I clicked on one of the languages (sub language this time) to be able to SAVE the DTS setting.
